I’ve started painting with Sodastream, the syrupy concentrated soda mix for people tired of Coke and Pepsi’s bullshit. I bought the Soda mix several months ago thinking it would be funny to try to mix it with alcohol. It wasn’t. I wasn’t surprised. Anyway, I have this full bottle, so I figured I should do something with it, and painting seemed like a good idea.
The first attempt (“where is my penis?”) was sketched out first, as you can see. I don’t know why I thought the Sodastream would cover up the pencil marks, but then I don’t know why I thought painting with Sodastream would be a great idea either. It’s pretty unworkable because it’s too much of a liquid.
The second attempt was made by building up thin layers. I should get a little better at this in future attempts, but there’s only so much you can do with this. The fat naked man will always be in the paintings though. He is Sodastream Mascot: Hero to Some.
